Fueled by not seeing women represented in electronic music documentaries and reading the inspiring Pink Noises by Tara Rodgers, I started the journey of microfeminineware: exploring space in electronic music. Its first incarnation was an interactive database documentary for my MA thesis in 2011. Since then I have amassed a half decade worth of material while maintaing the online database that will serve as an archive of these practices. It is currently being developed into a documentary film.
microfemininewarfare will feature a variety of artists, from those who make dancefloor smashers to installations with the London Sinfonietta to plant-based environments with Super Collider code and more.
