Presented at Transmutations Journal Exhibition, Skol Gallery, Montreal, March 2013.
Published in Transmutations Journal: Issue 1, Volume 1, Printemps 2013

This soundscape piece was inspired by the way that the medley of sounds constituting the nocturnal marches would echo and reverberate in our heads and the heads of the other devoted protestors every night. The marches outside of their temporal instance marking Montreal became a unified soundscape that took over protestor’s entire bodies & stayed with them no matter where they went.

This piece uses dozens of recorded sounds from the night marches layered to give a sense of a fragmented and unified cohesion simultaneously — evocative of the student strike experience.
