SELECT SOUND PROJECTS
A conceptual soundscape inspired by the ubiquitous ambience of audio stories and podcasts in my family’s life. The title is a phrase, O—, my 4-year-old commands between episodes to listen more. It is also a phrase, when it’s past everyone’s bedtime, her dad and I brace for knowing she’s not yet asleep. This soundscape piece was inspired by the way that the medley of sounds constituting the nocturnal marches would echo and reverberate in our heads and the heads of the other devoted protestors every night. The marches outside of their temporal instance marking Montreal became a unified soundscape that took over protestor’s entire bodies & stayed with them no matter where they went.
